Eleonora Capuozzo Krainer

Organizational and clinical psychologist

Treatment of Anxiety, Panic attacks and Insomnia

Spoken languages: English and Italian

I graduated in Political Science in Italy and later in Psychology in England at the London Metropolitan University, completing my university education with an internship at Holloway Women’s Prison under the supervision of Edward Bloomfield, a clinical psychologist and expert in Cognitive Analytic Therapy, based on the model by Ryle and Kerr. I attended a semester-long seminar on child psychotherapy and another on sexual therapy at Birkbeck College, University of London, two intensive workshops on cognitive therapy with Christine Padesky, and a Master’s in Hypnosis with Brian Jacobs.

Upon returning to Italy, I completed an intensive course in structural-integrated hypnosis with Giovanni Ariano (Director of the Psychotherapy School of the Italian Society of Integrated Psychotherapy), which emphasizes the analysis and integration of non-verbal and emotional language.

Since 2009, I have also delved into the psychoanalytic approach by attending thematic seminars with Freudian and Lacanian orientations. I have gained experience as a patient in both orthodox Freudian psychoanalytic psychotherapy with Macario Principe (Italian Psychoanalytic Society) and Fulvio Marone (ICLES), as well as in structural-integrated psychotherapy with Tonia Bonacci (Trainer at the Italian Society of Integrated Psychotherapy).

I have worked as a court expert in cases of suspected psychological and sexual abuse of minors, assessing the reliability of statements made by children aged 5 to 15 through semi-structured interviews, the use of standardized psychological tests administered in double-blind conditions by a collaborating colleague, and the observation of the child’s non-verbal communication. I published two protocols for forensic evaluations involving minors for the Italian Institute of Trauma Studies. My books can be purchased on IBS.

I have been training professionals for many years, helping them develop entrepreneurial talent, and training employees of medium and large companies to acquire communication strategies for managing group dynamics and mastering effective communication principles and methods with clients.

I specialize in training within the aviation sector, having completed specific training at an IATA-UFTAA accredited center. I provide training at major Italian airports for passenger area operators on communication with so-called "unruly" clients—characterized by impulsivity and low frustration tolerance—focusing on workplace aggression prevention and work-related stress management.

I also offer corporate consultancy in change management and training and supervising management teams to improve the operational efficiency of business units where employees interact regularly with customers or where there are significant conflicts or disengagement from the company's mission.

Through state-funded projects, I have trained personnel from the State Police, Penitentiary Police, Guardia di Finanza, nurses, and doctors in the National Health Service, union members, temporary agency workers, elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as public school teachers, on conflict and work-related stress management.

In Italy, I am registered in the Registry of Graduates in Psychological Techniques for Organizational, Social, and Work Contexts with the Italian Psychologists’ Association.

Under Article 3 of D.L. May 9, 2003, n. 105, I offer individual and group consultations for:

  • Career orientation, training needs analysis, human resource selection and development, communication process improvement, stress management, quality of life enhancement, individual growth potential, and social integration development;

  • The application of ergonomic knowledge to technology design and improving interaction between individuals and specific activity contexts;

  • Implementing prevention and training projects on workplace risk and safety issues;

  • Analyzing behavior, cognitive processes, opinions, attitudes, needs, and motivations, as well as social interaction and psychological fitness for specific tasks and conditions through standardized tests and structured or semi-structured interviews.
